Sustainability - ArcelorMittal Tubarão

ArcelorMittal Tubarão keeps an open dialogue with society, following ArcelorMittal Group general guidelines. Besides investing financial resources, the company heightens its influence disseminating its values to all social network actors.

Thus, more than listening and understating the demands, Tubarão promotes the sharing of experiences and knowledge for the construction of common solutions which favour the advancement of society as a whole towards a scenario of full development for people and communities.

In order to become an active agent of transformation, the company works with the concept of Co-responsibility which is brought about through a close and transparent relationship with government agencies and the surrounding communities.

Investments are directed not only to our own programs, but also to carefully selected social projects. Initiatives focused on the transformation of reality and related to Education, Health, Community Development, Environment and Culture are our priority.

In line with the actions carried out by the ArcelorMittal Foundation throughout the world, Tubarão also encourages voluntary work among its employees, which is construed as a factor to strengthen citizenship and personal development. Once engaged in social actions, employees contribute to call attention to corporate values in the community.
